The Glastonbury Town Deal has secured £23.6 million investment for the town, representing a once-in-a-generation opportunity to deliver the objectives outlined in the Town Investment Plan

Enhancing the entrance and main visitor experience. This will improve indoor and outdoor facilities for visitors and open up the connection with the town centre, benefiting the local economy.

Enabling Project

In order to support the renovation of the buildings within the Beckery Village, provision will be made for the non-bricks and mortar communities currently based in the area.

St Brigid’s Chapel and Field

Creation of new, year-round meeting and activity Round House that will protect, interpret and make accessible the heritage and natural environment of some 33 acres.

The Robert Richards Initiative

To deliver 2.5 kms of walking and cycling paths, with infrastructure to be agreed, and to provide opportunities for business and skills support. 

Glastonbury Clean Energy

Investing in renewable energy generation and EV charging. This project will be delivered in collaboration with Beckery Village businesses, community organisations and landowners.

The Life Factory

This project builds on the accelerator project in developing an iconic building for businesses, learning, young people and community uses.

The Baily’s Buildings

Re-developing these historic buildings into a zero-carbon hub for local start-up, small and growing businesses, educational groups and workshops. The complex will include a space dedicated to celebrating the town’s industrial past.
