Role: Board Member

Representing: Community Representative

I have been a parent governor at St Dunstan’s School since 2017. I am responsible for supporting the school with safeguarding and pastoral support has given me an insight into the gaps in community provision for young people and their families. I believe my professional experience in consultation, planning, policy, partnership working and strategic implementation will enable me to be a useful community representative on the Glastonbury Towns’ Fund Board.

Community engagement and involvement has been at the heart of my entire career. I am passionate about youth provision having worked in the Youth Service sector for 16 years. Currently I am Operations Manager (East) for Prevention Services for Somerset County Council; this gives me valuable insight into the needs of families in our community. My priority is to reach out to marginalised groups and residents in deprived areas to be an advocate for them, ensuring that they benefit from the opportunity the Town Deal presents to Glastonbury.
